When choosing pitbull names people sometimes get confused as to where they should start in their search.

1. The name should not be too long and confusing. The easier it is for you to say it the easier it is for your pitbull to understand it. Simple but truth.

2. The name should not sound like a command that you are going to give to your pit once you will start training him. What are the basic commands? Glad you asked: sit, stay, come, down, heel, fetch, No and good.

3. If you are wondering why I included the word "good" it´s because you will use it extensively if you choose some of the most common obedience methods. But let´s leave this for another time.

4. You should choose a name that you will pleasantly associate with your dog, one that creates some kind of emotional bond with his personality.

5. Last but not least I find it ridiculous if you call a pitbull some kind of weak or small name. It just doesn´t match.
